Hmmm. I've enjoyed shooting the M-39, the M-1 Garand, and the M-1 Carbine, but I have to say my favorites are my 1943 K-31 and Savage Mark II. I guess the Savage would have to be my favorite, as I bring it to the range every time, regardless of what else we shoot.

Cabella's pse Impala takedown
August 27, 2008 by windy-wilson
I've been thinking about buying a bow recently, as in Left Angeles there aren't a lot of rifle ranges that don't involve an hour's drive one way. When I was a youth in the Boy Scouts I did a lot of archery (and a little riflery, as that cost money).
It should be recurve, I just don't want the hassle of all those pulleys. It should be left handed, because I am, and it would be best if it were takedown, so it can fit into something that doesn't look quite so weapon-like. If I can avoid being a segment on the evening news, I will. It's been a good policy so far.
This PSE Impala takedown seems to be about the only entry level left hand take down recurve out there, so I thought I'd ask what I could expect with one, and find out what I give up by not paying more.
