We got in a new air rifle... I think it's a Crossman. The .177 caliber Whisper. It has a suppressor on it and claims to be 52% quieter.
So I took it out back, loaded up one of those gold colored pellets that are supposed to hit 25% harder... and fired it.
Not only did it sound just like a .22 rifle, but I sniffed the muzzle and it SMELLED like a .22 rifle that had just been fired.
Impressive velocity. Holy crap. Great rifle or so it seems... at least that shot went Right Where I Wanted it to go. I like the suppressor thing, but it's not as effective as it could be.
