I needed a new set of Binos for my hunting. My Oldest Heir (to borrow Kim du Toit's phrase) has laid claim to my current set.
I used up some Store Credit there. I wanted to spend a little more get the Leupold Mojaves... and I'll get a set of those eventually when our financial situation gets back on its feet. So I had to pick out a set in the 200 dollar range.
It was a tough choice between these Acadias and the Bushnell Excursion 10x42. Both units had great optics that are just above all the others I looked at in this price range. If I had to buy them at full retail, I'd have taken the Bushnells. Especially since we had a sale on the Excursions. I also wanted the Binos in Camo, so that tilted the Leupolds into the win.
These Acadias are light weight, and just about perfect for wearing with a bino harness. Everytime I look through them, I'm impressed with them. They are no Swarovskis, but when I look through them, I have a hard time with them being only 200 bucks at retail.
