Ever since taking my computer back to basics a few months back, one of the things I did was to uninstall the free Quicken 2005 that came bundled with my old box.

There's a small problem, though.

My computer DOES NOT WANT TO EXIST WITHOUT QUICKEN.

Every time I start the computer up, "Installer looking for Quicken."
Every time I open a PDF in Adobe, "Installer looking for Quicken."
Realplayer and some websites want to do the same.

This is driving me batty.

Download CCLEANER:
http://www.ccleaner.com/download
Run it...
From TOOLS, go to the Start Up and delete all entries relating to Quicken. Then go to Registry and scan for issues and FiX all of them. You have to run that bit 2 or 3 times to get it all.

LOL... you should try to uninstall AOL 6.0 sometime. Bloody thing is a Virus.

I managed that, somehow, with a lot less effort. Quicken, though, I see what you mean by necessitating running the registry cleaner through two or three times.

AOL ought to be sued out of business for the crap they pass out.

Yeah Ccleaner is the shite! I've been using it for quite a while. It is my friend.
