Awesome. I am THERE.
Sci Fi bounty hunters with a hot chick in a skimpy outfit flying a killer space fighter with jiggle boobies and a cool jazz theme song... what's not to love?

And I'll be in the theater with ya.

Awesome! Now all they need is a continuation/film adaptation of Outlaw Star and I'll be set.

Live action Dragon Ball Z is also coming out. Ehhhhh...

I might pass on that. But this might be better. I loved Cowboy Bebop. The action scenes were pretty damn cool for their time.

Not someone I wanna meet in a dark alley.

I really and truly can not stand Dragonball Z.

Cowbot Beebop and Trigun were the only two animes I really got into, but the idea of taking an anime and making a live action movie out of it just doesn't sit right with me.

Yeah, the huge larger than human eyes and perpetual motion boobs is going to be quite strange.

What is your take on the Ghost in the Shell movies and resulting tv series "Stand Alone Complex"?

I like Ghost in the Shell a lot... and Appleseed. The series, I've only caught some episodes, but I liked what I saw. I've not seen the whole thing from start to finish, but I'd like to.

Appleseed was pretty cool. The Ghost in the Shell series would definitely be worth checking out, if for no other reason than the massive amounts of gratuitous gun pr0n in the later episodes. I have the first season on dvd, and plan on picking up the second when it is available. It makes for some pretty good story telling with all the little intricate subplots intertwined with the story. Good stuff. Of course, copious amounts of appropriately applied violence always make for a good time too.

James Cameron is doing a live action movie based on a mange (japanese comic) called Battle Angel. I usually really don't like mangas, but there are a few out there that are decent. Battle Angel is one of those rare, cutting edge kind of sci-fi that "explores the space." If it's half as good as the manga, then it will be awesome.

Battle Angel would have the potential. I've read the graphic novel and it's pretty good.

I only fear what American directors will do to Battle Angel and Cowboy Bebop. They can't seem to help it, they want to send more messages than Western Union, and I fear the plot will suffer.

I do have to say that this "Ergo Proxy" add here on the right looks pretty dang cool. I might have to see if I can find it somewhere.

I've watched it. Very strange. Very strange indeed.
