MSAR has a new version of the Steyr AUG coming out soon. The MCS-08. Available in 9, .40, and .45ACP feeding from Glock magazines.
MSAR makes a dang good version of the AUG, but I suggest getting one with a flat top instead of the AUG type optic.
They should be fantastic, and they are under a grand for the flat top.
I've got one on order.
Hell, yes that sounds good. My Glock runs 40, so I'd get one in 40 and pick up some more mags. In my area a short 40 carbine would be very fitting...well...but so is my shorty SKS.
Yeah, but the SKS takes a different round and this would allow you to condense your ammo requirements. So instead of buying two cases of different ammo, you buy two cases of .40 and your done. Simplifies reloading too.
Yes, this would be an ideal weapon for your area. Very short, very fast, hitting harder and more precise than your Glock or SKS.
Full of Win.
I went, I looked and I want. In .45 to go with the pistol I intend to buy.
Maybe I'll buy this first, and maybe I'll win the lottery.
I always meant to ask you opinion on the Kel-Tec Sub2000 carbines.
They are just fine and quite popular with those that have purchased them...
But they are no where near these Microtech guns.
Any pictures?
I've always liked the idea of the pistol/rifle combo. Have a Vaquero/Marlin 94 pair in .357 at present which I'm very happy with, but I do wish you could still get the IMI Timber Wolf. Would that I could justify a Thompson to go with my .45s, but so it goes.
What is it with you and Bushnells Ogre? Are they giving you kickbacks or what? I wouldn't put a Bushnell on a throwdown piece:-)
The Holosight, man.... the Holosight. And that one is a Bushnell by name only. It's made for them by EOTech. For half the price. See why I like it?
i wonder if all of those models are on the same 'frame', 'cause it'd be a whole lot sexier in 10mm.
but maybe if we're all good little boys and girls microtech will make it in 10mm and save me the trouble.
and fyi the IMI Timber Wolf, not so well made, at least not the one i saw. it seemed somewhat cheaply made and it gave me the impression it needed some time with a file to run as smoothly as id like.
Awesome vid find.
Now I want it even worse.
Yes, 10mm would be epic. I'm sure you could convert one with some gunsmithing.
I would also be cool if 10mm wasnt a curio type cartridge.
Thanks for the info, I guess that's why the Timberwolf went away.Might have to pony up for a Lightning replica.(No, not like the ones in Snatch, this is America)
Depends on where you live whether 10s a curio cartridge, but I agree, I LOVED mine, even for a Glock, but feeding it was a problem. Luckily OMS is pretty close. (Same state anyway.)
i can usually dig up a few 10mm loads at the better gun stores, but its over $20 bucks a box for the 'cheap' stuff
this is why i reload...
Hi all New to this site. Got some info for you all. I spoke with the folks at MSAR last week. I asked when they were releasing the pistol caliber carbines. They told me hopefully they will have the 45 cal. ready in the next couple weeks for some gun shot show.
There were obviously some patent problems that needed reworked. The changes were for the better and that the changes would be more favorable to the customers.
They stated that this would be the first caliber out due to a Big order by a southern state city police (I won't say what city) order for like 1500 rifles for on duty use.
After the 45 cal. the other calibers will be released soon. I asked for a ballpark park range of time. So they said hopefully in the next couple months all the calibers will be realesed. Can't wait for the 10mm myself.
I own a glock 20. (love It!) also purchased the Mech-tech ccu for it as well. But to have the pistol and rifle combo accepting the same mags is great. Just wish glock made a higher round mag for it.
I contacted Glock to see if they had any plans for producing a high round mag for the 10mm and they said they do not have any plans for that at all. Hey, thats fine. I got .41mag power!! One of the best auto calibers ever made!! (just my opinion)
Hope in info helps anyone intersted!!!
